Challenge #4: Leda's LO

Challenge #4 is sponsored by Tangie Baxter Designs

The Art and Soul Challenge!
You both must complete this challenge! However, this is a FAST FORWARD challenge which means that the first team done can SKIP the January 18th challenge if they wish!

1. The Art of it: Your LO must have artistic flair! Literally! Your LO must have at least 3 things "artsy" and/or "altered" on it--(such as but not limited to: paint splatters, a paintbrush, paint spills, crayon doodles, goopy glitter, watercolors, canvas AND/OR altered art items such as wings on photos, art dolls, vintage doodads, ephemera, etc). Really stretch yourself and try something "artsy" that you haven't tried before!

2. The Soul of it: You must journal something from your Soul. Something positive, heartfelt and meaningful to you in your life! Something you've learned, something you've gleaned from your life experience. Perhaps something you would want to pass on to the next generation! (It can even be your favorite quote and why it touches/inspires you) Uplift us, make us smile--inspire us! You must share your journaling with us-if it's hard to read or blended into the background-part of the challenge is to share your journaling in your description.

The Art Part-
Altered old news paper, wings, vintage crown, Craft Twine, Colored Pencils, chalkboards, glitter and major water color blending.

The Soul Part-
My Journaling:
One of the things I have grown to believe over time is that - good or bad...
God puts certain people in my life for a reason. And I know with certainty that you were meant to be my friend.

Realistically, I shouldn’t have met you...after all, you are fourteen years younger than me - much as I hate to admit it - and I’m somewhat skeptical that two people with such an age difference would become such good friends. I needed to find childcare for Kaylee but was scared to leave her with a stranger so soon after her adoption. I found your childcare ad “randomly.”
But, in my heart, I know there are just too many coincidences for our meeting to have happened naturally without some
divine intervention ---------------

Amazingly,

You were also adopted.
You are a Christian.
You are a Navy wife.
Your husband was on the same ship as Todd for the 9 month deployment while I was in China adopting.
You have a daughter almost the same age as mine.
You don’t have much family nearby to depend on.
Your name was originally Linda Kay - my Mom’s name.

I mean, really, could the signs be any clearer?

You’ve been though some life stuff that nobody should have to go through. But somehow, you are able to move forward, to let it all go, and remain positive -- happy. I admire your ability to do this so much...I often wonder if I could have overcome what you did if I were in your shoes, and I’m not sure. You have courage and drive to make your life and the life for your children better than what you had growing up.

Sometimes you come to me for sisterly advice and I feel fortunate if I can help you out, and that we have built that kind of trust and friendship over the last two years to bounce life’s issues off of each other. And we laugh together a lot! We’ve just clicked. I trust you with Kaylee Tao Tao as if you were family and I look forward to seeing
our girls grow up together.

Our friendship is just easy - natural - a blessing!
